Singapore Supertrees

People are dwarfed by the structure of “Supertrees” seen against the financial skyline with the Marina Bay Sands, on Wednesday June 29, 2011 in Singapore. These “Supertrees” are vertical gardens, embedded with environmentally sustainable functions and range from 25-50-meters in height, with emphasis placed on the vertical display of tropical flowering climbers, ferns and epiphytes. The “Supertrees” are part of the government’s efforts to bring their national gardens into the city center.(AP Photo/Wong Maye-E)
